And for the most part, it has to do with relationships, love, and those things, you know? It is as funny as it is sad. I think one can see oneself making the same incongruous decisions in different situations. Sometimes you can even read what they are thinking, and all the contradictions between their thinking and their acting. Nevertheless, the characters are well defined, and that is why you can relate to them. You are able to connect to the story and the characters when you are reading it, but after that, you just move on.

All I am saying is that it has a weightless quality to it.

Finally, although it is highly entertaining and also creates an effective bond with the audience, it is forgettable. There was a point of no return in which I just wanted to know what was going to happen with the characters. As for sustaining the interest of readers, I could not put it down for a while. In terms of structure, like in a soap opera, we follow a lot of characters in their daily lives - they eventually interact among themselves and with secondary characters in the same universe. It resembles a soap opera in three ways: in terms of structure in the sense that it sustains the reader’s interest and finally, because it is ultimately forgettable. It is almost like a soap opera, a good one if it exists. I don’t know how to explain it properly, but it is entertaining, seemingly shallow, and, at the same time, it has its depths and, at the end, you empathize with characters and their small victories and fails. For me, what is interesting about Tricked is Robinson’s approach to storytelling.
